he Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) held a meeting with Sami Nasir Vice President Emirates Global Islamic Bank (EGIB) at Unisame office and discussed facilities for its members desirous of building their own house or buying already built property or buying land for the purpose of building a house.
President Unisame welcomed Sami Nasir and thanked him for introducing a product which fulfills the requirements of the businessmen whose money is invested in busuness and who are not in a position to purchase land and construct a house on it or purchase already built house and said this is an outstanding facility for the small and medium sized entrepreneurs and they should avail the facility.
He urged EGIB to launch a product for commercial property to enable SMEs to own factories, warehouses and shops on easy terms.
Sami Nasir explained the salient features to Unisame members and said that Al- Bait is a Shahriah compliant consumer housing financing product for residential purpose which provides the complete solution to own the house of your own.
He said besides loan for buying land or construction or already built house the loan is also for renovation of existing property and a borrower can also transfer his or her outstanding loan from any other bank to EGIB on easy terms
He said that EGIB can finance up to 50 millions and the tenure can extend up to 20 years and offers free insurance for life and the property.
He said the income of spouse and all family members is clubbed for the purpose of calculating the ability of the borrower to repay.
